James is an experienced manager and commercial lawyer with a demonstrated history of working across the sports and consumer industries. Skilled in creating and driving organisational strategy as well as strategic negotiations, sports law, customer relationship management and sponsorship negotiations. Currently working internationally across the global sports of Formula 1® and MotoGP, he is experienced at solving cross-jurisdictional challenges. Including his time at Herbert Smith Freehills and Mazda, he has worked as a manager of sales, strategist and lawyer on matters through Asia, Europe and APAC. Currently the General Manager responsible for legal, strategy, international affairs and government relations of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation, James has a unique skill-set and experience.
