Before you apply

  1. Decide the course of interest – you can find our Masters Course List here.
  2. January 2025 Priority Application Deadline - 13th January 2025. We strongly encourage early submission to allow sufficient time for application assessment, ensure availability, and prepare for the start of your studies.

  5. Check the Entry Requirements: Academic requirements vary by programme – check our course pages for details or contact our admissions team at admissions@gis.sport for further information.

Documents required

When submitting your application, be prepared with the following documents. As part of the application process, we need:

  • A personal statement (preferably no fewer than 500 words) detailing your reasons for wanting to study your chosen course.
  • Either a copy of your highest qualification certificate or a copy of your transcripts from your highest qualification
  • For Coaching or Analysis applications, please provide as much evidence as possible of any additional qualifications, licenses or certificates you have achieved, e.g. PFSA, FA, UEFA badges
  • Copy of proof of English language level e.g. Academic IELTS certificate (if English is not your first language or if your previous academic course was not delivered in English)

At GIS we accept and assess applications on an individual basis. GIS can also consider professional experience in lieu of formal qualifications, this is through flexible entry. In the event of applying without formal qualifications, our admissions department will need to see evidence or copies of the following.

  • Your most recent CV
  • Professional references (if required)

International applications should ALSO include:

  • A colour copy of a valid passport
  • Copies of any previous or current UK visas

Applications will be assessed by a member of the admissions team and may also be reviewed by our academic programme leader.

Ready to join us? Applications can be made through the GIS Application Portal

  1. Register as a new applicant – To create a new account, visit the GIS Application Portal and select the ‘Create an Account’.
  2. Fill out your personal details and submit your documents: Make sure you check the entry requirements on relevant course pages and the documents section above in order to submit the relevant documents.
  3. Review and Submit: We encourage you to submit a fully completed application with all the documents that are required.  Applications that are not fully completed cannot be submitted but can be saved and visited later once you have the documents ready to upload.

If you are looking to study our Postgraduate Diploma in International Football Business, then you need to complete an additional application with our validating partner for the course, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB).

If you are awaiting your results or any other documents, please inform our admissions team by emailing admissions@gis.sport.

If you would like to change the course or add another course, you can do so by making a new application by logging into your Application portal.

Priority Application Deadline

We strongly encourage you to submit your Master's application well before our 13th January 2025 priority application deadline to allow sufficient time for assessment of application, ensure availability on the course and enrolment in time for the beginning of your studies. Applications received after this date will only be considered on a case by case basis.

After you submit your application

If you have questions about your application, your eligibility, the conditions of your offer or would like to submit further evidence or make a change to your application - please contact GIS Admissions on admissions@gis.sport.

If you are holding a Conditional Offer, meaning you have yet to satisfy all admissions criteria and we are waiting for you to submit further documentation to evidence your eligibility, please do sent us the requested evidence as soon as you can. If you are unsure of your conditions, please contact us on admissions@gis.sport. Once your conditions have been met you will become an ‘Unconditional Offer Holder’ and will be invited to enrol onto your course as above.

If you have not yet accepted your unconditional or conditional offer of study with us, please do so ASAP by emailing admissions@gis.sport.

Professional Qualifications application process
