UCFB and GIS are delighted to announce that Buffalo Bills strong safety Jordan Poyer will be joining us as a guest speaker at our Inter Miami DRV PNK Stadium GIS Campus on Friday 22nd April.
Poyer began his career at the Philadelphia Eagles, before moving to Cleveland Browns and then the Buffalo Bills in 2017 on a four-year, $13M contract. In January the Bills safety was named in the 2021 All-Pro Team for the first time and became the first player to attain at least five interceptions and three sacks in the 2021/22 season, as Bills finished with the NFL’s best defence.
‘’I cannot wait to speak at the GIS Global Summit in South Florida. I look forward to sharing some of my experiences on and off the field,” said Poyer.
Every year each GIS global hub hosts an annual Global Sports Summit, bringing together students, alumni and leading sports industry professionals in some of the most advanced sports and entertainment venues in the world.
These immersive sports experiences will be based around tailored talks and workshops, featuring sports professionals from the pitch, from the boardroom and from behind the scenes of the sports industry, as well as cultural visits around each city and the opportunity to attend a live sporting event.
The NFL star will be speaking to our students on day four (Friday 22nd) of our annual Miami Global Summit, and will also be joined by Deiver Montes, Founder and CEO at Avalon Media Group & Avalon Sports.
