University Campus of Football Business (UCFB)’s home of master’s degrees and professional education for the sports industry, Global Institute of Sport (GIS) has partnered with sports management agency Fiber Sports Management to provide insights and guidance for current students looking to follow in the footsteps of UCFB graduate and Fiber Sports Management founder Saad Wadia.

In a new arrangement, UCFB and GIS students will be able to learn from Saad’s success as a football and talent agent representing the likes of Liverpool and Wales legend Ian Rush and Liverpool prospect Owen Beck. This will include guest speaker and masterclass opportunities as well as work placements and research projects with the agency.

Fiber Sports Management will also connect people from within the global sports industry to GIS programmes and events to facilitate knowledge sharing and development.

Speaking about this new partnership, Fiber Sports Management founder Saad Wadia said: “I’m delighted to be able to link back in with UCFB’s Global Institute of Sport to provide advice to the next generation of sports leaders and player agents. I learned a lot throughout my time studying at Wembley Stadium, both inside the classroom and in the networking and work experience that I was able to get involved in. I hope that I will be able to provide similar opportunities for students.”

GIS students have the opportunity to study on-campus at its inspirational Wembley and Etihad Campuses or online with optional access to stadium locations in London, Manchester, Miami, New York, Atlanta, Toronto and Melbourne. GIS also has programmes with residential teaching at Miami’s DRV PNK Stadium or Melbourne’s iconic MCG.

GIS Head of Business Development for Asia-Pacific, Ray Boggiano, is looking forward to building a strong and long-term relationship with Fiber Sports Management, with specific activities planned for Asia and the Middle East.

“Providing learning and development opportunities for those with a passion for sport alongside providing real-world industry experience and networking opportunities for students is central to what we do at GIS. We’re delighted to link in with Saad Wadia and his Fiber Sports Management agency to celebrate the success of one of our fantastic graduates whilst also providing opportunities for students to learn from him.”
