Booking is now open for the three 2023 GIS Global Sports Summits, to take place in New York City, Toronto and Melbourne.

The first of the summits is in New York City, between Friday, April 7 and Friday, April 14.

The summit is based around a week of specially tailored talks, exclusive networking opportunities, behind the scenes access, and visits specific to the North American sports industry. 

During the week, UCFB and GIS students will watch sporting matches at some of the United States’ most iconic stadia, including the Red Bull Arena, Barclays Center and Yankee Stadium. 

The full list of confirmed sporting matches at the New York summit are:

  • New York Red Bulls v San Jose Earthquakes (MLS) at Red Bull Arena 
  • Brooklyn Nets v Philadelphia 76ers (NBA) at Barclays Center  
  • New Jersey Devils v Buffalo Sabres (NHL) at Prudential Center 
  • New York Yankees v Minnesota Twins (MLB) at Yankee Stadium 

The second of the summits is the Toronto Summit, due to take place from May 26 to June 3.

During the springtime summit, which focuses on talks and networking with opportunities specific to the Canadian sports industry, visitors will be able to go to:

  • Toronto FC v Chicago Fire at BMO Field (MLS) 
  • Hamilton Tiger-Cats v Toronto Argonauts at Tim Hortons’ Field (CFL) 
  • Toronto Argonauts v Ottawa Redblacks (CFL) 
  • Day excursion visit to Niagara Falls

Melbourne's summit, scheduled for July 21 to July 30, will see visitors attending matches at the Women's World Cup, as well as watching the Wallabies v All Blacks.

The full list of scheduled events for the Melbourne Summit includes:

  • Germany v Morocco at AAMI Park (FIFA Women’s World Cup Football) 
  • Australia v New Zealand at Melbourne Cricket Ground (Bledisloe Cup Rugby Union) 
  • Richmond v Hawthorn at Melbourne Cricket Ground (AFL) 
  • Melbourne Storm v Parramatta Eels (NRL)
