The Global Institute of Sport is thrilled to announce the launch of a groundbreaking female-focused initiative in partnership with Aula Magna Business School.
The initiative, ‘The Executive Development Programme for Women in Sport,’ provides a comprehensive educational course to empower women who are pursuing careers within the sports industry.
With the ever-growing global sports industry continuing to expand, there is a growing need for gender diversity and inclusion at executive levels.
Therefore, GIS has partnered with Aula Magna Business School to bring this programme to life.
Aula Magna is an online international business school for female leaders, aiming to reduce the gender breach at corporate level by leading female training in high-demand fields.
Their method is based on professionally active teachers in their fields of expertise, closing any gap between the academic and the real corporate world.
The Executive Development Programme for Women in Sport will include structured curriculum and expert-led sessions, as well as a strong emphasis on practical and experiential learning.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in immersive, industry-relevant projects that bridge the gap between theory and real-world application.
These projects are crafted to challenge participants, encouraging them to apply their knowledge in dynamic scenarios, sharpen their critical thinking abilities, and emerge with a skillset ready for the complexities of the sports business world.
This approach ensures that participants not only grasp theoretical concepts but also develop the practical skills essential for leadership roles in the evolving landscape of the sports industry.
Sharona Friedman, president at GIS, said: “As we proudly launch the Executive Development Programme for Women in Sport, we are excited to contribute to the empowerment of women in the sports industry.
“At GIS, we believe in fostering inclusive leadership, and this programme stands as a testament to that commitment.
“By providing an innovative curriculum, expert-led sessions, and immersive projects, we aim to equip women with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in executive roles.
“This initiative aligns with our vision of driving positive change in the sports sector, and we look forward to witnessing the impactful contributions of the talented women who will emerge from this programme.”
Clara Lapiedra, founder of Aula Magna Business School, said: “Aula Magna Business School was founded to help improve the presence of women in traditionally masculine environments.
“The launch of a programme in sport was in our initial roadmap, but we could not make this a reality until we found GIS. We have proved that female talent has no limits.
“We hope, in this way, to be a means that contributes to a positive change in the sports industry.”
