Degree overview

The Master of Science Football Business qualification is designed for those who wish to develop an appreciation of key areas shaping the current landscape of the soccer industry. The program provides opportunities to engage in different aspects of soccer business including areas such as governance and regulation, consumer engagement, operational management and business development. From TV deals to player transfers, soccer is now a global, multi-billion-pound industry that is in need of more industry specific qualified individuals.

The soccer industry has many opportunities for budding professionals, and also poses numerous challenges on a personal and business level. Events like relegation can cause a club to lose millions of dollars overnight, so it is essential to have the knowledge and experience to be able to deal with such eventualities. This program will allow students to be aware of the diverse and often unique situations that impact on the soccer business, as well as recognise best practice and ethical choices.

Our Distance Learning and Distance (with attendance) degrees are delivered virtually via our online hub. Each module has a number of live online teaching sessions for you to attend with academics and your peers. The live sessions for US students starting in September are delivered between 4-8pm UK time making these degrees ideal for students from the Americas.

For Distance (with Attendance) students your online study is further consolidated with a residential block(s) at our GIS Miami campus consisting of in-person teaching and networking.
