GIS Industry Insight: Andrew Gray, Careers in Golf Programme Manager, England Golf

Join Shana Doyle-Axcell, Deputy Dean of the Business School at the Global Institute of Sport, for an exclusive session with Andy Gray, former England and Great Britain representative, World Champion in Sport Karate and Kickboxing, and sports development professional at England Golf.

After watching The Karate Kid at just five years old, Andy dreamed of becoming the next Daniel LaRusso. That childhood ambition became a reality as he went on to represent England and Great Britain, winning English, British and World titles in Sport Karate and Kickboxing.

Andy’s passion for sport has since shaped a career dedicated to creating opportunities for others. From working with national charities and establishing his own non-profit organisation to his current role with England Golf and the wider GB&I Golf Forum, he has built a career focused on using sport to inspire, develop and empower people.

Drawing on his experience as an elite athlete, sports professional and community advocate, Andy brings a unique perspective on how sporting experiences can shape careers, create pathways and open doors for future generations.
