The Global Leadership Scholarship, in collaboration with our esteemed Global Advisory Board, is designed to support aspiring leaders from all corners of the globe who are ready to make their mark in the sports industry. This scholarship includes mentorship from a prominent member of our Global Advisory Board, a 15% reduction in tuition fees, and a ticket to attend a GIS Global Sports Summit of your choice. This scholarship encourages applicants to showcase their commitment, leadership potential, and global perspective as they embark on their academic journey.

The Game Changer Scholarship, launched in collaboration with The Player, is designed to support aspiring sports professionals in making their mark both on and off the pitch. This scholarship offers an exceptional package, including up to 50% tuition fee coverage with GIS, a discount on The Player’s Elite package, branded kit, and invaluable mentorship from Steven Taylor, ex-Premier League footballer and co-founder of The Player. Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be holding an accepted offer on either MSc International Sport Management or MA Sports Agency, January 2025 intake
• Must be able to take part in The Player’s Elite Package in the UAE whilst studying your GIS degree
• Applicants must be able to provide a CV outlining their playing experience/expertise
• Applicants must be able to provide a reference from a previous coaching/academy to support their application
• Applicants are encouraged to provide supporting evidence such as footage, clips or viewable links

The Beyond the Game Scholarship, in partnership with The Player, provides a unique opportunity for aspiring sports leaders to gain hands-on experience in the vibrant UAE sports industry. This scholarship offers up to a 50% tuition discount, a tailored placement within a professional UAE football club, and mentorship from Sam White, co-founder of The Player. Designed to develop a global perspective and cultural understanding, the scholarship prepares students for impactful careers off the pitch in sports management and agency.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be holding an accepted offer on either MSc International Sport Management or MA Sports Agency, January 2025 intake

For elite athletes who have competed or are currently competing at an elite level, for example national or international level, in any sport The Elite Athlete Scholarship is designed to support high-achieving athletes who have competed at the national or international level in any sport, helping them transition their athletic experience into a successful next career in the sports industry. This scholarship provides a 50% tuition fee reduction, exclusive GIS sports kit, and dedicated mentorship from a leader in the sports industry, equipping elite athletes with the resources and guidance to excel both academically and professionally.

The Agents of the Game Scholarship is tailored for aspiring sports agents who recognize the vital role networking plays in driving innovation and opportunities within the sports industry. This scholarship offers a 50% reduction in tuition fees, mentorship throughout your degree with Deji Akande, CEO and Founder of Gateway Sports Group, and a ticket to a GIS Global Sports Summit of your choice. Open to applicants with a demonstrated commitment to building and leveraging a diverse network, this scholarship supports students holding an offer for the MA Sports Agency course for the January 2025 intake, encouraging them to create meaningful connections that can propel their careers forward.

The Global Impact Scholarship, created in partnership with Think Pacific, offers students the chance to make a lasting difference through sports and cultural exchange. This scholarship includes a funded placement with Think Pacific in Fiji, Bali, or remotely, valued up to £2500, along with a GIS Global Summit ticket and mentorship from a sports industry leader. Ideal for those passionate about global engagement and community impact, the scholarship empowers students to develop their skills while contributing to meaningful projects abroad

Scholarship includes:

• GIS funded placement with student volunteering project organisation Think Pacific in Fiji, Bali or remote worth up to £2500
• Mentorship with sports industry leader from the GIS network

Eligibility Criteria: 

• Must be holding an accepted offer on either MSc International Sport Management or MA Sports Agency, January 2025 intake
• Must be able to demonstrate a global outlook and a keen interest for cultural engagements
• Must be able to take part in a student volunteering project with Think Pacific whilst studying your GIS degree

These discounts are open to any UCFB, Buckinghamshire New University and University of East London graduate who has received and accepted an offer to study at postgraduate level with UCFB’s Global Institute of Sport.
