How to Apply

Applications to our Master’s degree and undergraduate degree programmes should be made via the ‘apply now’ link below.

Please note: If you are applying for a Miami Campus or Sydney Campus degree, click the links to apply directly via our academic partner websites.

To allow sufficient time for assessment of application, ensuring availability on the course and enrolment in time for the beginning of your studies we strongly encourage you to apply before the below dates. Applications received after this date will only be considered on a case by case basis.

  • Online degrees starting September 2025 – 1st September priority application
  • Online degrees starting January 2026 – 12th Jan priority application
  • Brussels on-campus degrees starting September 2025 – 1st August non EU priority application / 1st September EU priority application
  • Sydney Campus degrees starting January 2026 – 1st December 2025 for international applications, 11th January 2026 for domestic applications

Before You Apply

  • Decide the course of interest: You can initially only apply for one course, but once your application has been submitted we would be happy to consider any additional courses you might want to be considered for.
  • Check the Entry Requirements: Academic requirements vary by programme – check our course pages for details. We welcome applications from candidates who do not meet our published entry requirements but have an otherwise strong personal profile, please contact our admissions team at admissions@gis.sport for further information or if you would like to discuss your profile prior to applying.
  • Visit our Scholarships and Fees and Funding pages for more information on our Scholarships and for more information on tuition fee loans that GIS can support you with. information.
  • If you are planning to study a programme with attendance in a different location from your country of residency, please  check visa information before applying.

When submitting your application you will need to supply the following documents. As part of the application process, we need:

  • A personal statement (preferably no fewer than 500 words) detailing your reasons for wanting to study your chosen course, information on your background and information on any relevant professional experience you may have.
  • Evidence of your highest completed qualifications – if you are still studying at present or awaiting your results then you can still apply and receive an offer without this.
  • For Coaching or Analysis applications, please provide as much evidence as possible of any additional qualifications, licenses or certificates you have achieved, e.g. PFSA, FA, UEFA badges
  • Copy of proof of English language level e.g. Academic IELTS certificate (if English is not your first language or if your previous academic course was not delivered in English)
  • A colour copy of your passport or an official, government issued ID document.

Although not required to submit an application, it can also be helpful if you provide a copy of your most recent CV as this can help give us a lot of insight into your personal and professional background. In cases where you are applying for a place based on your professional rather than academic profile, we will ask you to provide a copy of this as part of the application process.

Domestic Students

You are considered a Domestic student to our Sydney campus if you are an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa or New Zealand citizen.

 

All domestic applicants are required to evidence 100 points of ID, official copies of academic transcript(s), a detailed CV and official Statement(s) of Service. In instances where the applicant has completed their qualifications and/or professional experience in a non-English speaking country, they will be required to evidence their English Language Proficiency.

 

International Students

How to Apply

Step 1

Provide your Personal Details: this stage will ask you to provide basic details such as your full name, address, contact details and nationality.

Step 2

Select the course you have chosen: You will only be able to select one course initially, but you can always add more choices by emailing admissions@gis.sport.

Step 3

Provide information on your previous qualifications: You should provide as much information as possible about your previous qualifications – we are most interested in your highest completed or pending qualifications but it is useful to have your full academic profile.

Step 4

Upload the documents required (see ‘Documents Required’ above): If you don’t submit any necessary documents then we will need to get in touch with you to request these. This will delay the assessment of your application with us, so please use the document uploader provided on the application form.

Step 5

Provide additional personal information: This section requests information on your personal characteristics such as Ethnicity and Disability status. This information is not used to assess your application but helps us to process your enrolment onto the programme quicker.

Step 6

Submit your application: We will typically give you an initial response within 7 days of your application by email to the email address you supply. Please keep a close eye on this email address for more information.

Applications will be assessed by a member of the admissions team and may also be reviewed by our academic programme leader.

If you are looking to study our Postgraduate Diploma in International Football Business at our Brussels Campus, then you need to complete an additional application with our validating partner for the course, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB).

This additional step requires the payment of an application fee which will be deducted from your tuition fees – you shouldn’t complete this process until after you have received an unconditional offer from GIS, at which point we will provide a step-by-step guide to assist you with your application.

After You Submit Your Application

To ensure that a place is held for you on your chosen course, you should accept your offer with us as soon as possible by emailing admissions@gis.sport. Firmly accepting your offer does not commit you to pay any fees and can be cancelled at any time up to the start of the programme.

If you have questions about your application, your eligibility, the conditions of your offer, would like to submit further evidence or make a change to your application – please contact GIS Admissions on admissions@gis.sport.

If you are holding a Conditional Offer, meaning you have yet to satisfy all admissions criteria and we are waiting for you to submit further documentation to evidence your eligibility, please send us the requested evidence as soon as you can. If you are unsure of your conditions, please contact us on admissions@gis.sport for more information.

Once your conditions have been met you will be issued with an unconditional offer and will be invited to enrol onto your course once the course enrolment process opens (typically 6-8 weeks prior to the start of the programme.

If you have not yet accepted your unconditional or conditional offer of study with us, please do so ASAP by emailing admissions@gis.sport.
