Sofie Smismans, a course leader and lecturer at GIS and VUB, has worked across major European and international projects, including initiatives for the European Commission and the International Olympic Committee. Alongside her academic role, she serves as Project Lead and Team Manager for R.S.C. Anderlecht Women and holds a UEFA B coaching licence. Her expertise bridges research, policy, and applied practice in elite sport and women’s football.
Jarne Victoir is a GIS alumnus whose studies placed him at the heart of Belgium’s elite football environment, R.S.C. Anderlecht. His time at GIS equipped him with industry‑ready skills, a strong professional network, and hands‑on exposure to high‑performance sport, positioning him as an emerging talent in the global sports sector.
Sumer Rajora is a UEFA Venue Data Coordinator, managing live match data for elite competitions including the Champions League and Europa League. With a Postgraduate Diploma in International Football Business from the Global Institute of Sport, he brings expertise in football operations, analytics, and fan engagement. Previously, Sumer worked as an Assistant Analyst for a consultancy advising Premier League and EFL clubs on tactical strategies. His journey from civil engineering to football reflects his passion for data-driven decision-making and the global sports industry.
