Global Institute of Sport (GIS) is delighted to announce a partnership with Women Onside, which includes the launch of a brand new scholarship opportunity for GIS offer-holders.
Women Onside, formed in 2017, is at the forefront of promoting gender equality in Australian football, aiming in particular to promote women working in football in areas from leadership to governance.
GIS’ Women Onside Scholarship has the goal of supporting emerging leaders from underrepresented communities who are passionate about shaping the future of the sport, and reflects a shared commitment to increasing representation and leadership opportunities within football.
The scholarship is for women and gender-diverse individuals currently working or volunteering in football, particularly in governance, administration, or leadership roles.
Applications are now open for master’s programmes starting in September 2026.
The scholarship includes a 50% reduction in tuition fees, access to our GIS Scholars mentorship programme, and a free ticket to attend a GIS Global Sports Summit at a location of your choice (travel expenses not included).
