Complaints

Our goal is to empower individuals to navigate complaints with clarity and fairness, promoting better relationships and outcomes. If you have any concerns regarding your course or a service, we encourage you to first attempt to resolve the issue informally. If informal resolution is not feasible or if you remain dissatisfied with the outcome, you have the option to pursue a formal complaint through the university’s complaint procedure.

Student Representation

Each of GIS’s courses will have a course representative, a nominated student who will advocate for their peers by gathering feedback on issues impacting students and presenting these concerns to academic staff. You can locate your GIS course representative and their contact details on the GIS Central platform.

If you are studying a course validated by the University of East London (UEL), you are automatically part of UEL’s Student Union. You can contact them for advice and basic information on societies/ student groups as well as basic information regarding extensions or appeals.
