Last Friday, GIS students had the privilege of attending the opening ceremony of the Powerhouse Project’s UEFA B Prep Programme at St George’s Park. The event, which marks the beginning of a ground-breaking journey for 34 female football coaches, showcases how initiatives like the Powerhouse Project are empowering women to break barriers and succeed in coaching, media, and business. 🌍✨

Meet Sumer Rajora, a GIS Brussels student who made the leap from civil engineering to the football industry. After taking a career break, he pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in International Football Business at Lotto Park, home of R.S.C. Anderlecht. 🏟️✨

Through expert-led classes, industry networking, and hands-on experience as an Assistant Analyst at Insight Sports, Sumer is gaining the skills to thrive in football. Since January, he has also completed eight additional courses, including PFSA Data Analysis and an FA Talent Identification certification. 🎓🔍

He credits GIS for its unmatched industry exposure, from guest speakers to real-world insights into football operations, finance, and fan engagement.
