GIS is a partner of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel Enrolment (VUB), who accredit the GIS International Football Business PG Diploma and validate awards offered. If you are studying the International Football Business PG Diploma which is validated by VUB, there are two parts to our enrolment process, and you will receive emails from both VUB and GIS to complete the respective enrolment tasks.
Enrolment is the process you need to complete to become an official GIS student. You must complete enrolment at the start of every academic year of study.
Enrolment is an important part of your student journey with us. The team are here to help you through the process and provide support wherever you need it. We strongly recommend you complete enrolment as soon as possible.
Our experience shows it is beneficial to enrol prior to Orientation Week – Students who complete their enrolment before Orientation Week hit the ground running and perform better on their degree.
Enrolment is completely online and involves you providing up-to-date information for your student record. It consists of 2 parts:
- Completing your consents form with GIS
- Completing your enrolment with VUB (Click here for VUB enrolment information)
Enrolment is a crucial part of your student journey, as it gives you access to:
Enrolment will take place in 2 parts and as such you will need 2 separate usernames and passwords. One for GIS and one for VUB.
Enrolment with GIS
This will involve completing a short consent form and agreeing to GIS policies and should only take a few minutes to complete.
You will receive an email from admissions@gis.sport with a link to complete the consent form.
If you have any questions or require any support to complete your GIS consent enrolment, please contact us admissions@gis.sport
Enrolment with VUB
When your study contract is ready to sign, you will receive an e-mail to let you know during the enrolment period. By clicking the ‘overview‘ button in VUB’s application tool, you should see that the status of your application indicates you can sign your study contract, and you can click to proceed with the digital signing. Afterwards you’ll receive an e-mail update confirming your study contract has been signed. Click here for VUB enrolment information.
Please make sure you have given us your personal email address rather than your school/college one and please check your spam/junk email folders too. Contact us on admissions@gis.sport if you don’t believe you have received your invitation to enrol.
After your enrolment is completed (by signing your online study contract), you receive an email within the hour to activate your VUB account. You manage your VUB account, VUB e-mail address and password in the VUB Password Manager.
If you don’t receive this activation mail within the hour, please contact the VUB ICT helpdesk on helpdesk@vub.be
No, you must complete both parts of online enrolment yourself.
As a student, you’re required to install MFA on your VUB account. This is an authentication method in which you must successfully complete at least two steps to gain access. These factors could be something like your username and password, your fingerprint, facial recognition, a specific location, etc. This way you’re better protected against cybercriminals. Further information on activating your MFA can be found here.
We highly recommend that you complete both the enrolment tasks before Orientation Week as that will give you access to all the online services you will need to make the most of your studies so please contact us at study@gis.sport if you are facing any obstacles so that we can help you to hit the ground running.
Once you are fully enrolled and your course has started you can contact the team on academicservices@gis.sport to request an enrolment confirmation letter.
