What you need to know

As you embark on your academic journey with the Global Institute of Sport, this page is your go-to resource for all the essential details you need to start your university experience smoothly. Whether you’re a first-year student, a transfer, or returning to further your studies, we’ve gathered everything you need to know about enrolment procedures, orientation events, and how to make the most of your time with GIS.

Key dates

Enrolment for GIS courses starting in January 2026 is expected to open in December 2025.
Orientation week will take place week commencing 19th January 2026 for students on distance or distance with attendance programmes.
Start of Term: Teaching on your course will commence on Monday 26th January for students on a UEL programme. For students on the Postgraduate Diploma in International Football Business, based at Lotto Park in Brussels, your studies will commence on Monday 9th February.

Enrolment

Enrolment is completely online and involves you providing up-to-date information for your student record. It consists of 2 parts:

1. Completing your consent form with GIS

2. Completing your enrolment with one of our validating partners UEL or VUB.

MSc Football Business; MSc Football Coaching & Analysis; MSc Football Communications & Digital Marketing; MSc International Sport Management; MSc Performance Analysis in Football; MSc Sports Marketing & Media; MA Sports Agency; Postgraduate Certificate in Football Coaching & Analysis; BA (Hons) Sports Management.
