GIS Partners with Yakka Sport to Connect Students to Jobs in Australia 

GIS is delighted to announce our brand new partnership with Yakka Sport, connecting students with valuable employment opportunities in the Australian sports industry. 

Yakka Sport is a leading jobs app for the Australian sports industry, helping aspiring sports professionals find their dream role across all areas of sport. 

Opportunities range from the fields of coaching and event management to marketing and beyond, and features job openings from entry to senior level. 

Now, GIS students can sign up for free to connect with some of the country’s leading employers.  

Sport in Australia is an exciting industry, and is set to grow ahead of the 2032 Olympic Games, which will be held in Brisbane. 

On the partnership, Hicham Sakhi, Yakka Sport co-founder, said:

Students who will benefit from the collaboration include those studying at our Sydney campus, who now have direct access to some fantastic opportunities thanks to the partnership.  

MSc Football Coaching & Analysis students who choose our Melbourne residential option will also be able to benefit from the initiative, including the chance to gain paid coaching work during their time with us.  

This includes non-Australian students who study the online course whilst traveling Australia on a Working Holiday visa as part of our Work & Study Australia opportunity. 

With a large network in the Australian sports industry, numerous employers trust Yakka Sport to find those best suited to a host of roles. This network is particularly strong in football academies, and the FC Barcelona academy is one of the organisations who have a great relationship with Yakka Sport.
