Global Institute of Sport (GIS) is delighted to announce a landmark new partnership with World Football Summit (WFS). Founded in Madrid, WFS is a global platform for sports industry leaders to connect, bringing together a network of over 150,000 professionals through its world-class events.
Its new partnership with GIS, the global destination for sports industry education, is set to provide GIS students with exclusive scholarship and internship opportunities at WFS.
Echoing GIS’ commitment to connecting education with industry opportunity, the partnership will give students first-hand exposure to one of football’s leading global business networks.
Since its launch in 2016, WFS has hosted 33 events across 11 countries, welcoming more than 46,000 attendees and over 28,000 industry-leading speakers. The organisation celebrates its 10th anniversary this year with its flagship event returning to Madrid on 15–16 September.
The industry access enabled by such events further enhances GIS’ global learning experience, with hubs and campuses across four continents and partnerships with more than 50 organisations.
These partnerships contribute to the industry-focused learning experience that has helped GIS achieve the #1 global ranking for Career Advancement, Industry Network and Quality of Faculty in the Sports Business Rankings.
Within this, career outcomes remain a core value at GIS, with 79% of graduates working in sport and 99% securing employment within six months.
With announcements to follow regarding specific scholarships, internship opportunities and events, the partnership with WFS reflects GIS’ dedication to preparing students for success in the fast-paced sports industry.
