You can find the latest tuition fees for all programs under the ‘Fees’ tab on the degree page.
Global Institute of Sport offers a range of scholarships aimed at increasing opportunities for under-represented groups to break into and accelerate their careers in sport, as well as removing barriers into education and sport for people from all backgrounds. Our scholarships contain a mix of financial support, and student experience and career enhancing opportunities.
For domestic students to our Sydney campus, there are a select number of competitive scholarships available for both the January and August intakes. Applications generally close two months before teaching begins. For international students, no application is necessary to receive the International Excellence Scholarship, which is a 20% tuition fee subsidy – you simply need to maintain a pass completion throughout your program to continue to receive the scholarship.
Eligible domestic students can apply for an interest-free loan from the Australian Government through the FEE-HELP loan scheme. As per the arrangement with HECS-HELP, this means you only start paying your course fees once your salary is at the minimum level to start making payments.
Students must apply for FEE-HELP by submitting an electronic Commonwealth assistance form (eCAF) via the MyHub system at the time of enrolment. You can find your eCAF by logging into myHub through myUni, under the ‘My Finances’ tab.
The submission of an eCAF is related specifically to a single program of study. Students must complete a new eCAF upon admission to any new program (including moving from a Graduate Certificate to a Masters, or readmission to a program in which you have previously been enrolled). The eCAF must be completed prior to census date in any relevant term. Failure to complete an eCAF will mean that you will be responsible to pay the tuition fees to the University.
More information on the Higher Education Loan Program (HELP) including eligibility requirements can be found at the Study Assist website.
Alternatively, domestic students also can pay upfront, using facilities such as myHub or the University of Newcastle’s online payment portal, or via external options such as BPAY (the biller code and reference number can be found on your bill in myHub). Fees must be paid in full for the trimester ahead by each census date.
Your fees need to be paid to the University in full by their due date, and you can view and pay the fees by logging into myHub through myUni.
International students may wish to look into personal education loans to cover the tuition fees depending on individual circumstances and the options available in the student’s region. If you need support or recommendations in finding a loan provider then please contact our team or your dedicated education agent.
All international students must pay a deposit in order to secure their place and receive their CoE which is a requirement to apply for a visa. These deposits must therefore be paid in plenty of time before the start of the program to allow for visa processing – we recommend paying the deposit a minimum of 6 weeks before teaching starts. Specific deadlines for each intake can be found under ‘entry requirements’ –> ‘application deadlines’ on the degree pages.
For 1 year programs the deposit amount is 50% of the total fee and for 2 year programs it is 80% of the annual fee. The deposit amount is due at the time of acceptance. The deposit amount will be used towards course enrolments and when the funds are exhausted the university will bill the student at the beginning of each trimester or after the student has enrolled in their courses. Payment is due 14 days after the invoicing date. The bills will be generated in the student system MyHub.
As financial requirements by Department of Home Affairs, at a minimum, international student must have enough money to pay for:

International students must pay a deposit to secure their place before applying for a visa, and therefore it is recommended to do this no later than 6 weeks before teaching starts. Please note, deadlines are subject to change in line with visa processing times.
Domestic students must pay their tuition fees for each trimester by the census date, either directly or via FEE-HELP student loans.
Specific deadlines for each intake can be found under ‘entry requirements’ > ‘application deadlines’ on the degree pages.
